Edna Whitehead

Mrs. Edna Corrine Whitehead age 87 of Farmville, VA passed away Saturday September 22, 2012 in Farmville. She was a devout Christian, avid gardener, loved sewing, cooking, attending wine tasting events, watching birds and she loved animals.  She attended the “Silver Sneakers” at the Farmville YMCA. She was preceded in death by her husband Denver Dell Whitehead and her son-in-law Charles Andrew Bowen, III. She is survived by; her children, Dellene Bowen of Farmville, VA,  Charles Tanner Whitehead ( Martha ) of Plano, TX, Jeanene Fisher ( David ) of Farmville, VA, her grandchildren; Scott Bowen ( Adam Humphrey) of New Haven, CT, Dallas Corvinus  ( Viola) U.S. Army England, Lisa Ann Whitman ( Darrin ) Allen, TX, Jerimé Trude(Owen) of Lusby, MD, Daniel Tuttle of Kazo-shi-Saitama, Japan, Greg Tuttle ( Justin Bridgers ) of Lusby, MD, her step-grandchildren; Cory Fisher (Kara) of Loxahatchee, FL, Alex Fisher of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, her great-grandchildren; Rebekka Bowen of Farmville, VA, Emma Whitman of Allen, TX, Otto Corvinus and Fritz Corvinus both of England, and her sister Peggy Lavine of Midland, TX. A Celebration of her life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday September 30, 2012 at The Navy Recreation Center, Solomon’s Island, MD. A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday October 9, 2012 at Florida National Cemetery Bushnell, FL. The family suggest that memorial contributions be made to The American Heart Association.
