Alma Overstreet

Alma Young Overstreet age 95 of Rice, VA passed away on September 9, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband Odell Overstreet and her parents Howard and Hopie Young, one brother Russell and three sisters; Maude Y. Lloyd, Virginia Young and Ruth Goggin.

She is survived by two sons; Ronald (Debbie) of Lynchburg and Tony (Rachael) of Burkeville, VA grandchildren; David Overstreet, Jennifer Wilkerson, Kristen Qumsieh (Mudar) of Miami, FL, Nathan Overstreet of Lynchburg, VA, great grandchildren; Ava, Vivian,  and Evelyn Overstreet and Azara and Zayne Qumsieh.

She was employed at Craddock and Terry shoe factory for 31 years.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Shorter Funeral Home with interment to follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens.

Family will receive friends from 10:00AM until time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
