David Hamlett

November 13, 1946 — February 9, 2013

David Curtis Hamlett, Sr., 66, of Jetersville passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at his home.

Born Nov. 13, 1946 in Amelia, VA., He was the son of the late Clyde and Margaret Newcomb Hamlett. He was retired as a Head Fixer with Phillip Morris after 32 years of service.

Survivors include three sons; Jonathan Hamlett of Midlothian, Chris Hamlett of Henrico, and David Curtis Hamlett, Jr. of Glendale, CA, two daughters” Sherri Tinsley of Powhatan and Sarah Ellis of Fayetteville, NC, one Brother Edward Hamlett (Doris) of Chesterfield, one sister, Doris Pullen (Ken) of Fredericksburg and sseven grandchildren. Savannah Hamlett, Jonathan Hamlett, Jr, Sophia Hamlett, Michaelae Palmore, Nicholas Palmore, Chrisentan Ellis and Bree Booker .
He was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Hamlett.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 in Bethel United Methodist Church with interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday at the Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville home.
