Donald Rickman

Donald Lee Rickman, 61, went home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on September 7, 2010.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Dorothy Spivey Rickman, one daughter, Lynessa, two sons, Michael (Kim) and Robert (Tanya), his brother, Roger, four grandsons, Bobby, Bryson, Nathan and Cody, one granddaughter, Maggie and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lessie Mae and his brother, Billy.

Donald served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War and also served in the Army Reserves.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 9, 2010 in the chapel of Shorter Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Bredemeier officiating. A graveside service and Interment will follow at 1:00 PM, in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Thursday.
