Donnie Jenkins

Donnie Lee "RED" Jenkins, , 73, of Farmville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Dale "D.J" Jenkins, Phillip Jenkins, George Jenkins Jr., Charlton "Charlie" Jenkins and Lawrence Allen Jenkins who also went to be with his mother Mary Irene Jenkins and George Jackson Jenkins Sr.
Donnie was a painter. He was born and grew up in North Carolina and later resided in the Norfolk, VA area. He is survived by his son Donnie Lee Howlett and his wife Cristina, two grandchildren Jacqueline R. Howlett and Donnie Lee Howlett II, all of Virginia Beach, VA.
He also had two step-children Freda Gail Tarantole and husband Andrew, of Gloucester and Gregory Allen Howlett and wife Tina, of Norfolk and eight step-grandchildren: Kenny Hensley, Chris Hensley, Adam Hensley, Brian Tarantole. April Howlett, Tiffany Howlett, Gregory Howlett Jr., and Jamie Howlett and a host of nieces and nephews
A graveside committal service will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009 in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC.
