Dorothy Womack

Dorothy Elizabeth Southall Womack age 91 of Pamplin, VA passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016. She was born on January 24, 1924 to the late Lawrence and Lena Southall.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, George H. Womack.

She is survived by two sons; Henry E. Womack (Sheila) George W. Womack, three grandchildren; Thomas, “Jessica”, Will, Jennifer and one great grandchild, George Clay Womack.

She was a member of the Just-A-Mere Club, VFW Auxiliary and the Retired Teachers Association. She taught school at different schools but finished at Prince Edward Academy. She was a volunteer at Southside Hospital for ten years and a lifetime member of Buffalo Presbyterian Church.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan 7, 2016 at Buffalo Presbyterian Church at 11:00AM with interment to follow in Westview Cemetery in Farmville, VA.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Shorter Funeral Home from 6:00PM – 8:00PM.
