Elsie S. Wilson, 94, passed away peacefully on Oct 27, 2024 in Farmville, VA. She was born on September 1, 1930 at home in Welcome, MD to Etta Wenk Scott and Eugene Longsworth Scott Sr. Those preceding her in death were her husband James B. Wilson Jr, her father, her mother, her brother Eugene L. Scott Jr and a son-in-law Howard Meredith Campbell. She leaves behind her two daughters; Linda Wilson Campbell and Jean Ann Stiegelmeyer, her three grandchildren and their partners Jared Stiegelmeyer (April), Stacy Collins (Adam) and Meredith Hamlette (Nik). Also four beautiful great grandchildren, Charlotte, Grant, Cody and Skylar. Elsie was a strong, determined and faithful lady that loved her family, friends and church. She loved to play tennis, drive her 32’ RV with her sister-in-law Helen Ann Scott and travel.

A family visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov 2, 2024 from 5:30 – 7:30pm at Shorter Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in 6329 Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 2:00PM. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. We will always carry your memory in our hearts. Shorter Funeral Home is serving the family.
