Joseph Yale

Joseph Bryan Yale, 47, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011 at his home in Norfolk.

Born April 3, 1963 in Portsmouth he was a Dairy and Frozen Food Clerk with Food Lion and was an avid bowler.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Mattox and children, Joseph Bryan Yale, Jr., Ashley Nicole Yale, Bryan Alexander Mattox and Kathryn Lois-Marie Mattox all of Norfolk, his parents, Gary and Patricia Yale of Meherrin, his brother David Yale and wife, Shannon of Lynchburg, his sister, Rebecca Yale of Waynesboro and several nieces, and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 19, 2011 in the Yale Family Cemetery, Meherrin. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 PM, Friday in the chapel of Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Thalia United Methodist Church, Norfolk.
