Katie Chandler

Our Lord called home one of his special ladies Katie S. Chandler on Thursday October 6, 2011.
She was born on January 24, 1925 in North Carolina to Carley and Essie Shelton. She was a dedicated worker at Craddock Terry for over 20 years.  She is survived by her daughter; Betty C. Easter and her husband Allen, five grandchildren; Beverly Baldwin, Melinda Brooks, Courtney Warren, Andy and Amanda Chandler; four great grand-children, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was lovingly known by family and friends as “Gang”, she enjoyed gardening, canning, watching hummingbirds and a good conversation. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 6:00 Sunday at the Shorter Funeral Home 1905 S. Main Street Farmville, VA and where services will be conducted in the Chapel 11:00 AM Monday October 10, 2011. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice, VA.
