Marilyn L. “Grammy” Davis, 49 of Keysville passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in Charlottesville.
Born in Jackson, NC she was the daughter of the late Howard Glynn Manning, Sr. and Dorothy Meade Pierce Manning. She was the Youth Coordinator for the Farmville District United Methodist Church and a member of Keysville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, George L. Davis of Keysville, five children: Timothy “T.J.” Long of Keysville, Lisa Doss of Powhatan, Michelle Doss of Richmond, Brian Davis of Keysville and Joshua Davis of Mt. Solon, six brothers and sisters: Lester Manning of North Carolina, Doris Spiratos of Rice, Annie “Roslyn” Manning of Rice, Joel Manning of Kenbridge, Jackie Williams of Dillwyn and Theresa Crenshaw of Rice, eight grandchildren: Timmy Long, Triston Long, Josie Long, Shyler Long, Alexis Flippen, Adrianna Flippen, Sofia Chavez and D.J. McCoy and many very special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Glynn Manning, Jr. and Daryll Manning and one sister, Mary Schuchman.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, November 18, 2011 at Farmville United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral Home. Interment will be private.
