Odell Jones

Odell Davis Jones, 84, of Prospect passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 at her home.

Mrs. Jones was born in Pittsylvania County to the late Ross Pickens Davis and Estelle Shelton Davis.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Leonard Jones, four children: Leonard Jones, Jr. of Yorktown, Sandra Traynham of Hampton, Marie Leggette of Chesterfield County, and Patsy Fox of New Kent, one sister, Frances Owen of Newport News, Six grandchildren: Kimberly Leggette-Quigg, Renee Cranor, Connie Leggette, Jennifer Fox, Jeremy Fox and Jeffery Harper and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Nov. 21 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Shorter Funeral Home in Farmville and on Monday, Nov. 22 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home in Newport News. Funeral services will be held at Peninsula Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 12 p.m. with burial to follow at Peninsula Memorial Park.
