Patricia E. Meade (n'ee Greer)

Patricia E. Meade (née Greer), age 81, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2024, with loved ones by her side at her family home at the Flying K Ranch. She was born on February 23, 1943, in Providence, RI.

Pat married the love of her life, Kenneth W. Meade, on August 27, 1966. Together, they built a beautiful life and family. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Meade; her children, Kenneth W. Meade, Jr., Michael E. Meade, and Lori B. Wilson; and her sisters, Barbara A. Agnelli and Susan J. Schmitt. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Austin James, Elizabeth Lavell, Christina Nicole, Jessica Kathleen, Emily Christine, Kenneth Wade, and Alexandra Noelle, and one great-grandchild: Leia Dianne, who knew her affectionately as “Nana”. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Russell S. Greer, Sr. and Barbara L. Greer, and her brother, Russell S. Greer, Jr.

Pat dedicated her career to serving her community as a Rural Postal Carrier. She had a deep love for raising and riding horses, a passion that brought her immense joy throughout her life. Pat also contributed to her community by serving on the Board of Directors for the local Farm Bureau.

A memorial service will be held on September 12, 2024, at Shorter Funeral Home in Farmville, VA at 1PM.

Pat will be remembered for her warm heart, her dedication to her family, and her unwavering spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
