R.C. Turbyfill

Mr. R. C. Turbyfill, 61, of Marlinton, WV, and formerly of Farmville, died Sunday, July 11, 2010 in Marlinton.

Born March 12, 1949 in Elizabethton, TN, he was the son of the late Roscoe George and Mae Louis Parsons Turbyfill. He was retired as a power company lineman and was a US Army veteran of Vietnam.

Survivng are his wife, Jacqueline Loraine Henderson Turbyfill of Prospect, daughters: Cynthia C. Caracofe of Marlinton, and Nicole M Turbyfill of Keysville, sons: Anthony J. Turbyfill and Ryan C. Turbyfill of Marlinton, Ricky C. Finch of Prospect and Ross C. Turbyfill of Keysville, brothers: Robert George Turbyfill of Virginia Beach and Ronald Dale Turbyfill of Farmville, and sisters: Shirley Jean Coyle of Richmond, Barbara Ellen Heath of Rice and Wanda Jean Lockner of Cumberland County.

His former wife, Mary Anne Turbyfill, son, Bruce Allen Turbyfill, sisters, Susan Kelly and Maxine Chandler and brother, Nelson Lee Turbyfill, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 16, 2010 in the chapel of Shorter Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
