Reuben Perkins

Mr. Reuben C. Perkins age 83 of Farmville, Virginia passed away Sunday July 24, 2011 in Farmville, VA. He is survived by his wife Emily Jackson Perkins; his two sisters Margaret Perkins of Laurel,MD, Annie Perkins of Petersburg, VA, his mother-in-law Louise Jackson of Prospect, VA, sister-in-law Betty M. Perkins of Farmville, VA, several other brothers and sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30 PM at the funeral home. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday July 27, 2011 at Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery in Prospect, VA. The family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Prospect United Methodist Church or Prince Edward County Volunteer Rescue Squad. The family will be at the home of Doug and Kay Jackson in Prospect, VA. The Shorter Funeral Home of Farmville, VA is serving the family.
