"Tauty" Lucy W. Schmidt

Rice native, "Tauty" Lucy W. Frank Schmidt passed peacefully on 12/6/09 at Virginia Beach at the age of 87. She was a member of Jamestown Presbyterian Church of Rice, VA. Tauty was a lover of the great outdoors, an avid gardener, creative seamstress and lingerie manager at Baldwins Dept Store for over 10 yrs. She was a devoted Mother, Wife, Grandmother and friend. Tauty will be remembered by all for her happy, cheerful, fun loving nature.
She was predeceased by two husbands, Jim Frank of 35 yrs and Thomas Schmidt of 1 � yrs. She survived by her children: Raymond Frank of Farmville; Gerald Frank of Richmond, Ann Simpson of Chesapeake, Jane Lina of Virginia Beach; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
The Family will receive friends at Shorter Funeral Home on Tuesday 12/8/09 between 6 and 8 p.m.
Her life will be honored and celebrated with funeral and burial services at Jamestown Presbyterian Church on Wednesday 12/9/09 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org or 1-800-272-3900.
