Winton Sisson

Winton Dave Sisson, 55, of Prospect, VA. died of cancer Sunday, May 26, 2019 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Born Sept 6, 1963, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Richard Athey and Doris Jeanne Sisson.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Carvie Richard Sisson.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Vicky Daniel Sisson; step-daughter, Crystal Tappen of Farmville, VA; sisters, Amy L. Waugh (Robert) of Blackstone VA and Beth E. Janschek (James) of Waldorf, MD; sister-in-law, Cindy Brisentine Fulk.  Four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  And his beloved cat, Kimme.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11:00AM in Prospect United Methodist Church with interment to follow in Prospect Community Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00PM and 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Shorter Funeral Home.
